Is GTA 6 going to be 18+?
Every GTA title since GTA III has carried an adult or mature label. GTA 6 is expected to receive: ESRB “Mature 17+” in North America. PEGI 18 in Europe. GTA 5 carries a Mature (17+) rating reflecting its mature themes, realistic violence, strong language, drug and alcohol references, and sexual content. The GTA age rating is based on the fact that the game was designed for adults and contains material unsuitable for children and younger teens.
What will GTA 6 be on first?
On November 6, 2025 Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA VI will no longer be released in May 2026. Instead, the new release date is set for November 19, 2026. The game will initially be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Presumably, a release for PC will take place at a later date. It might not be another rendition of either GTA or Red Dead but whatever Rockstar is working on next, it would have already started undergoing development and I’d anticipate its release to be the early to mid-2030s. To be clear, neither GTA 7 nor RDR3 are confirmed to be in development at the time of writing.
