Is GT4 faster than GT3?
Of course the GT3 is more powerful than the GT4, by almost 100hp, but that’s only 25% more than the GT4. The numbers belie the reality, as the delivery of those horses is alarmingly different. The GT3’s engine has more torque, and delivers early and often, all the way to its 9,000 rpm redline. GT3 cars are significantly more powerful than GT4 cars. They typically produce between 500 and over 600 horsepower, while GT4 cars have around 400 to 500 horsepower.
Is GT500 faster than GT3?
When Cammisa puts the GT500 on the track with the help of professional driver Randy Probst, it comes darn close to besting the Porsche 911 GT3 RS around the Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. The GT500 manages to only be two-tenths of a second slower than the Porsche. That’s very close. Surprisingly close. There’s absolutely no doubt that the Demon is likely quicker than the Shelby GT500 in the quarter-mile, especially when in the hands of a professional driver. However, the Shelby GT500 is no slouch, either.
