Why is Audi discontinuing the Q8?

Last fall, Automotive News reported that Audi ended its search for a buyer for its factory in Brussels that built the electric Q8 as part of a larger cost-cutting effort amid slowing EV demand. Audi confirmed that it closed its factory in Brussels, Belgium, in February, taking the electric Q8 e-tron SUV with it. That means that 2025 is the final model year for the Q8 e-tron and its more aerodynamic Sportback variant.
